I will be performing new work in progress, take the long way home, as part of the Maine Moves series; with sound score by Aaron Drake. This work was supported, in part, by a Foundation for the Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant.

take the long way home is a self-induced natural disaster, a queer dance tantrum that digs beneath the fabulous to the magic of everyday dirty resistance, persistence, and giving up. Attempting to fix things that may be beyond fixing, patterns emerge in repetitive cycles and collapse in disarray. An earthy connection to gravity and grace takes root from the detritus.
